The Right Fit

The need for correct fitting PPE and inclusive working practices.

Tuesday 21st September, 2021

15:00 – 16:30 (BST)

VIRTUAL EVENT – FREE REGISTRATION

Diversity and inclusion has been in focus for the energy industry for a long time. Increased efforts in creating welcoming, safe and inclusive working environments have seen the sector take massive strides in recent years, in a bid to attract and retain top tier talent.

However, recent reports that women do not have equal access to correct fitting PPE have prompted action from manufacturers, employers and employees alike.

It is the responsibility of employers to respond to these needs, to ensure the health and safety of their workforce. Having the correct PPE available is of primary importance in keeping employees safe, avoiding injury, and enabling them to carry out their jobs effectively.

Join our panel of experts who will debate the issue of D&I in the industry, shed light on the growing issues this presents for employers and employees and explore the products and initiatives that are in place today to solve this PPE problem.

Net Zero Engineering

Thursday September 30th, 2021

15:00 – 16:30 (BST)

VIRTUAL EVENT – FREE REGISTRATION

The UK has set the goal of reaching Net Zero by 2050. To achieve this, the country must tackle both supply and demand, whilst also overseeing systemic changes in the delivery of energy and mitigation of carbon emissions.

The decarbonisation of industrial clusters is a key step towards cutting emissions on a large scale. This process will see new skills and standards incorporated into the UK’s knowledge base, which in turn will provide opportunities for exporting expertise.

Costain is at the forefront of industrial decarbonisation plans in the UK. The company is leading the development of the South Wales Industrial Cluster (SWIC), a project with the potential to decarbonise around 16 million tonnes of CO2 per year or 70% of Wales’ total emissions.

Energy Voice has teamed up with Costain to produce a special series of content on its learnings from SWIC and how they can be applied more broadly.

The series kicks off with a free virtual event featuring speakers from the company and partners who will present a blueprint for regional decarbonisation. This will be followed up by a complimentary special report that will be emailed to everyone who registers for the event.

Register for free to secure your spot at the event and copy of the special report.

CAPITALISING ON NEW ENERGY OPPORTUNITIES IN THE US

Thursday August 12, 2021,

15:00 – 16:30 (BST) / 09:00 – 10:30 (CST)

VIRTUAL EVENT – FREE REGISTRATION

The energy transition will need to harness an array of technologies with offshore wind, carbon capture utilisation and storage (CCUS) and hydrogen all playing a central role.

These three industries, all at different stages of development in the US, each have their own merits and challenges. But the common thread, the drive to slash carbon emissions, means they will continue to attract substantial capital and create significant opportunities for the supply chain.

Energy Voice continues to lead the conversation on the global energy transition. Now, in association with Bracewell, a leading law firm renowned worldwide for its unique depth and experience in the energy sector, we are delighted to present a virtual event that zeroes in on new energy opportunities in the US market.

Scheduled for the week prior to OTC and the NAPE Summit, this event will set the agenda for the Houston conference season, where there will be huge attention on the disruptive capacity of these three transition industries.

Register today to hear from our expert panel on how offshore wind, CCUS and hydrogen are shaping the new US energy mix, and how to capitalise on the opportunities this transition presents.

Net Zero Data

– An Energy Voice & Snowflake Event –

Wednesday June 23, 2021

15:00 – 16:30 (BST)

11:00 – 12:30 (ET)

VIRTUAL EVENT – FREE REGISTRATION

From boardrooms to shareholdersand employees to customers, we are all becoming more acutely aware of the need for companies to meet their net zero targets.

Net Zero Data encompasses a technology approach to reducing the carbon footprint attributed to the storage, movement, and processing of data — the appetite for which is growing rapidly among energy companies

As these companies decarbonise their core businesses, they are looking not only at production and distribution operations as areas for improvement, but also at supporting functions and infrastructure. As large consumers of data storage and processing in both their core hydrocarbon and rapidly growing renewables businesses, the majors have an opportunity to meaningfully advance their net zero ambitions by transforming their data operations.

Energy Voice’s Net Zero Data event will bring together a panel of experts to shed light on how data decarbonisation can help the energy industry progress more rapidly towards its 2050 goals.

Hydrogen is increasingly touted as the answer to almost any energy transition question.

Should it be used for heating? For driving cars and aeroplanes? For storing electricity? As the next step for oil and gas producers?

There is a lot of buzz around the element’s potential to reshape energy and the economy. But what is the reality?

Energy Voice, in association with Deloitte, Fasken and Costain, are delighted to present a virtual event series that digs deeper into the prospects for hydrogen in order to separate the hard facts from the hype.

The first in this series of events, “Making the market” was held on April 29. This acted as the scene setter for the series and looked at the building blocks necessary for the emerging hydrogen market.

The second session on “Projects, infrastructure and finance” was held in June 17 and looked at where the money is flowing, which projects are the game changers and how infrastructure – existing or new – supports them.

The theme for Session 3 was “Policy focus & COP26 reflection” and was held on November 18. It looked at the policy requirements for a sustainable hydrogen economy and reflected on the recently-finished COP26.

Finally, the “Where next?” session on February 24, 2022 will take stock of the insight that has gone before and set the scene for the next stage in the evolution of hydrogen.

Register today to hear from the experts and join the conversation about hydrogen’s future role in the global energy system.

Africa Rising

FREE VIRTUAL EVENT

2pm (GMT) Wednesday 2nd December, 2020

The energy sector in Sub-Saharan Africa faces numerous challenges, but there is also an increasing sense of urgency and opportunity for the development of the industry on the continent.

Fasken is delighted to launch the Africa Rising report, which will provide insights and learnings into how this region is changing and adapting in the face of everything that 2020 has to offer.

Africa Rising was written in association with Energy Voice. The report follows the entire arc of energy in Africa, from upstream exploration through to the delivery of electricity.

Even before the onset of COVID-19, it was clear change was coming. This speed of change has accelerated though and sub-Saharan Africa is diversifying from its focus on exports to a broader-based energy sector, which can also deliver power more widely.

Presenting some of the findings from the report, Fasken and Energy Voice invite you to sign up to the launch event on December 2nd, 2020 at 2pm (GMT).
