The Centre for Energy Transition is a dynamic, engaged and open research centre that champions genuine interdisciplinary science in partnership with industry, government and society. The CET builds upon decades of energy-related research, education and partnership at the University of Aberdeen. We have a strong culture of research centres across our schools working on topics such as renewable technologies, energy storage, geosciences, integrated energy systems, data and AI, markets, decommissioning, energy law and economics and governance. That is a powerful mix, and our approach is to pull together the diverse strands of this research and ensure we are connected into societal demands for energy transition.
Established in 1972, ISA is Scotland’s first international school. The school’s mission is to deliver excellence in education through a safe and caring learning environment and its strength is diverse intelligence, providing something different when it comes to private education.
At the heart of the school, there is a drive to support children to find their place in the world. The independent school provides students with a comprehensive university preparatory education using best practices in education from around the world.
Students are challenged to reach their maximum potential through academic success and personal growth, becoming learners for life and socially responsible, active global citizens.
Flexitricity created the first demand response portfolio in GB. We operate a diverse virtual power plant of over half a gigawatt of flexibility and bring revenue to British businesses, increase asset reliability, reduce national CO2 emissions, support the renewable energy revolution, and help to secure energy supplies. We help businesses and asset owners earn revenue through occasionally altering their electricity generation and/or consumption profile, in response to National Grid’s requirements. This is always done without disrupting normal business operations. Our team is fully engaged at industry and regulatory level and has a track record that demonstrates innovation and delivery success.

The Technology Leadership Board (TLB) works with the industry, government and other stakeholders to define priorities to adopt, adapt and/or develop oil and gas technologies, securing investments, to deliver MER UK and strengthen UK oil and gas industry competitiveness.
The TLB aims to be the single industry voice on technology on the UKCS, providing strategic direction, clear demand-led priorities and measurement against key performance indicators.
The TLB is co-chaired by the OGA and industry, and the OGA technology team provides secretariat for the Board. It will interface with the other MER UK Boards to agree synergies and alignment to maximise benefits and avoid effort duplications.
