For over 135 years the Atholl Palace Hotel has welcomed guests. The hotel’s unique and fascinating history began in the middle of the 19th Century when popularity of both Scotland as a holiday and health destination grew amongst Victorians.

In 2001, the hotel underwent the most extensive refurbishment. Over the course of a decade, locked away rooms and buildings were uncovered and restored including the historic Victorian spa and Turkish baths in the lower ground floor and the art deco building ‘Highways’. New and old gardens were carefully cultivated to award winning standards.

In 2005 the Atholl Palace Museum opened within the hotel. It was the largest of its kind in the UK, celebrating the rich history and architectural heritage of the hotel.

These awards are the benchmark of the excellent service offered by the Scottish wedding industry, and a celebration of the hard work and dedication that each individual company and organisation involved in the sector brings to the wedding market here in Scotland.

Entering its 10th year, The Cateran Yomp attracts over 1,000 participants from Scotland and across the world to take on the 54 mile in 24 hours trek. Organised by Aberfeldy based True Grit Events with support from Dundee companies Patter PR and Purple Imp, the event showcases Perthshire’s historic Cateran Trail and raises vital funds for the National Charity of the British Army – ABF The Soldiers’ Charity.
