The cHeRries Awards – Terms and Conditions

All entries must be submitted via email to Sharon Methven (Senior Event Manager) at smethven@dcthomson.co.uk by midnight on Sunday 26th January, 2025.

All entry submissions must refer to works undertaken and implemented from 1st January 2024 to 26th January 2025.

All entries, and the details contained within them, will be handled in the strictest confidence and only made available to members of the judging panel. All confidential information supplied will be securely destroyed after the judging period.

If you are one of our award category sponsors, you are unable to enter the same award category that your company is sponsoring.

All judges are required to announce any conflict of interest within any award entry to The cHeRries Awards events team, and they will be removed from judging that submission and the category it has been entered into.

All successful businesses and individuals who entered the awards and have made it to the interview stage, will be notified no later than Wednesday 19th March, 2025.

All those successful in making it to the interview stage will be asked to take part in an interview on an allocated date and time circa Thursday 13th March, 2025.

The shortlist will be announced circa Thursday 27th March, 2025.

The judges’ decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Feedback on individual entries will not be given.

The judges reserve the right to move entrants from one category to another if they believe it to be appropriate.

It is accepted as a precondition of entry that all participating businesses and individuals agree to facilitate and feature in editorial coverage within The Press and Journal and its online portals.

All businesses submitting entries should be headquartered or have significant business and employment interests in Scotland.

There is no upper or lower limit on the size of businesses which may enter the awards.

Businesses can enter any number of categories and win any number of categories, however a separate entry is required for each category submission.

Winners will be announced at The cHeRries Awards ceremony on Thursday 12th June at P&J Live, Aberdeen.

Tickets purchased for the award ceremony are non-refundable.
